DRACONIAN - A SLUMBER DID MY SPIRIT SEAL

A slumber did my spirit seal;
I had no human fears:
She seemed a thing that could not feel
The touch of earthly years.


No motion has she now, no force;
She neither hears nor sees;
Rolled round in earth's diurnal course,
With rocks, and stones, and trees.

Eyes wide open
Still blind to see
Heart wide open
Still too cold to feel

That's all what's left of me
A frozen mind
A shade of who I could be
That's all I can be today

That's all I dare to see
With broken faith
Afraid of what's hurting me
That's all I'll let in today

In silence I cry
For my aching heart

Frozen
Closed down
Demons won't recede
Doubtful
Fearful
I must face them all

Eyes wide open
Do I dare to see?
Heart wide open
Do I dare to feel?

That's all I want to be
A stronger mind
A light that will make me see
That's all I wish for today

That's what will set me free
With renewed strength
I'll deal with my agony
That is my goal for today

Empty I cry
Where is my heart?

I close my eyes
As fire swept clean the earth
Nothing left to strangle
As the cords were torn from our hearts

As we emerged
From darker dungeons
Splendor of yellow hells
Expanded swollen eyes

No words were said
As fire swept clean the earth
Would the mothers be crying?
If they saw the torches in their hands

A kiss was placed upon my cheek
And all colors came back
Melting in solid blue hues

AFTER FOREVER - SILENCE FROM AFAR

When the fate leaves you behind
and drags me of to an unknown destination
Shall my tears shape a sea
on which your boat has to reach the area

When the storm is most violent
and the horizon seems to be far away
You'll find strength to go on
and conquer the misery that wants to bring you down

When silence from afar is close at hand
our harmony becomes as elusive as time
